Just to update – the engineer came end of last week and swapped out the drawer housing. It turns out the drawer housing had been leaking around the large motor at the back – looks like an o-ring failure, the motor was very rusty and water damaged. It’s working now and taking detergent as expected, so hopefully that will be the end of our troubles in this case.

Just an update – engineer came today. He’s going to order and replace the detergent drawer housing, if that doesn’t fix it, probably going to write it off for a replacement. At this stage – I’ll happily take a replacement.

Thanks. We’ve run the self diagnostic test that can be done via the app, but that says everything is OK, but I expect that isn’t as good a test as those an engineer can do.

A different engineer on both occasions but they both attended in Hoover/Candy branded vans and uniforms so I assume they are official engineers via Domestic and General. At least you confirmed that what they are telling is a load of rubbish. Neither of them properly tested anything though, just removed the filters from the drawer and did the 14 min cycle. All sorted as far as they were concerned.
