Slovenia’s home appliances maker Gorenje is carrying out preparations for a dual listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
A formal proposal will be put to the company’s shareholders at the 23 August annual general meeting, the company confirmed Tuesday.
The management and supervisory boards of Gorenje believe the secondary listing in Warsaw will improve liquidity given the poor liquidity on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
Gorenje have annouced that production of Asko laundry appliances in Vara, Sweden will next year be moved to Velenge, Slovenia just south of the Austrian border to Gorenje’s state of the art facility in the region.
Gorenje’s SensoCARE washing machine and sensor controlled induction hob IQcook both won red dot design awards. Both appliances were designed by the Gorenje Design Studio. The red dot awards had a record-breaking 4,515 applications submitted in Gorenje’s product category.
Gorenje has started production at its new refrigeration appliance plant in Valjevo in Serbia. It is Gorenje’s second fridge freezer plant in Valjevo.
