From all the moderators and admin staff, once again, our thanks for all the support that everyone has shown to UK Whitegoods throughout 2004 and we look forward to an even better year in 2005. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2005 and may you have a good and prosperous year.
In the past year our moderators have done a superb job of watching the forums and our thanks goes out to Martin Russell, Chris Chantrell, Mark Garner, John McKenzie, Sean Delaney as well as Dave Conway in admin and spares for all their efforts and hard work through the year. Thanks guys, you really do make a difference.
When 2004 started the website had had just over a quarter of a million page views, we passed one million just over twelve months from launch and a scant five months later we passed the two million mark. This is an absolutely amazing accomplishment in such a short space of time. But better still is the fantastic professional advice that has been freely given to the trade and general public, often saving people a lot of heartache or a lot of money. The countless messages of thanks say it all, there’s nothing more that I can say that will convey how appreciated the efforts of many members is by us all.
Also in 2004 we have seen a major shift in the industry with many manufacturers and work providers taking onboard the comments from repairers and trying to do something about the issues raised, a fantastic step forward and we hope to work with more and more people in the industry to improve it still further through time.
2005 will bring us the electronic call system on UK Whitegoods, which is entirely unique within the industry and, as far as we know, a world first as there is no other system like it anywhere for the repair industry. We will also see the continuation of the highly successful and productive UK Whitegoods meetings, of which the next one is to be held in February, and there should be quite a lot to talk about in the coming months.
So, we hope your year was as interesting as ours has been and we are looking forward to 2005 with enthusiasm and a resolve to do even more.
