Freezer manufacturer Icetech which employs around 100 staff in Caithness, Scotland has gone into liquidation.
Icetech Freezers is based Castleton in Caithness describes itself as the last UK maker of household refrigeration appliances. The firm was preiously known as Norfrost before it was bought out of administration in 2005.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise invested more than £1.5m in Norfrost before it collapsed.
David Hunter of chartered accountants Campbell Dallas has been appointed provisional liquidator.
The business was reported to be producing 160,000 appliances a year at its Castleton site and since the launch of the original company 40 years ago, the firm has built and sold about 10 million products.
