Appliance giant, The Indesit Company SpA, expects to post pretax profits for 2006 of around 150 million euros Forbes has reported, above the group’s forecast of 145 million.
After poor results in 2005 this is being seen as the company bouncing back.
Indesit has said that the good performance in 2006 will allow Indesit to introduce new products and expand investments in research. Meanwhile they are going ahead with the construction of two more plants in Radomsko, Poland for z³ 323.5 million.
The Indesit Company sell appliances in the UK under the Hotpoint brand name as well as others, including the new “Aqualtis” washing machine.
