It appears that, at least on a temporary basis, that Indesit has decided to reopen the Kinmel Park plant that was closed earlier this year.

At present it is unclear the reason for the reopening of the plant or what it is set to produce.

Chris Ruane MP added: “This site remains one of the most valuable in the whole of North Wales. I hope Indesit will do all it can to make sure it’s sold as quickly as possible.”

Wrexham-based Gap Personnel declined to comment, but a spokesperson for Indesit said: “Indesit Company UK is currently using the Kinmel Park site for temporary work that it is unable to accommodate at other sites.

“It is expected that the work will be completed by the end of November and the sale of the site will continue as planned.”

However, one former worker, who wished to remain anonymous, said if Indesit want to use the site they should reopen it and create permanent jobs.

He said: “To hear Indesit are still using the site employing agency workers instead of former staff makes me feel sick to my stomach. I know it’s only temporary but it’s just plain wrong.
