Is Gas Dead (Yet)?

A while back we reported that we saw gas appliances going the way of the Dodo and that support for them was rapidly disappearing service-wise. Well, seems it’s not just the UK and there’s recently been a brilliant explanation on why this is so.

Sadly the reality is that around the world, other than some pockets, gas is slowly dying a long painful death. As are some of the popular misconceptions about how clean and supposedly safe it is, well, some people think it is. After all, you need to remember this stuff goes boom when you put a naked flame or whatever near it, “safe” is a relative term with gas.

Then there’s all that carbon monoxide stuff, you know the dealy gas you can’t taste, smell or detect that will kill you.

Let alone the environmental concerns.
