Whirpool’s decision to increase its investment in Poland has resulted in attracting the interest of tens of its Italian subcontractors to the Polish market.
Some of them will fly next week to see what Lower Silesia has to offer them, but already one of them announced he will launch his operation in Poland in a few months time. “I cannot reveal the company’s name, as it is confidential until negotiations end,” said Paweł Panczyj from Wrocław mayor’s office.
The refusal to reveal the firm’s name is closely related to the fact that moving production to Poland will result in jobs being lost on the Italian market.
Wrocław’s local government hopes to attract even as many as nine investors who are likely to invest roughly EUR 1 million each.
