Reports are emerging about LG’s linear compressors; for those unfamiliar with the terms, these are the “motor”, if you will, in a refrigeration unit that pumps and “compresses” the gas, allowing the unit to work. But it’s the most expensive thing that can usually be replaced on most units, so if they are failing prematurely, it’s a big problem.
