Italian electrical appliance giant Merloni is expected to unveil a multi-million pound expansion of its UK tumble-drier factory.
The company, whose brands include Hotpoint and Indesit, plans to invest £15m in the factory at Yate, near Bristol.
The expansion is expected to create up to 700 jobs.
The Italian firm recently completed a £20m expansion at its refrigeration plant in Peterborough.
Marco Milani, Merloni’s chief executive, said the company intended to continue its expansion in the UK.
He was reported in the Daily Telegraph saying: “With Merloni’s international resources, we see huge potential for further improvement.
“This, combined with vigorous commercial activity, both in the UK and export markets, should see production activity levels grow in the coming years.”
