Christmas is here and we would like to extend our best wishes to everyone over the holiday season.

Of course many newcomers to the site will find it as an appliance has broken down and this is the worst possible time for that to happen however, as usual, there will be plenty of the usually support within the forums although things may run a little slower than usual as you may expect.

Our online store is still fully operational, within the limitations of the holiday period and orders are still being processed and dispatched so, if you do need a part over the holidays, we will still be able to help you. Although the phonelines are closed email support (click here to send an email) will still be dealt with as quickly as possible.

It is also worth pointing out some little tips for Christmas survival with your appliances and your food, just in case you forget.

Please make sure that you cook the turkey properly! Every year people get sick simply from undercooking turkey, choose the correct recommended temperature to cook at and don’t try to rush it. It is far better that the Christmas meal is little late rather than making you and your guests’ ill for a few days.

If your dishwasher decides to break down over the holidays my advice is simple, leave it until after the New Year to get it fixed. Dishwashers are not regarded as a high priority repair at this time of the year for most repairers, cookers and refrigeration come first and those will be given priority in most cases.

With your fridge and freezer please do try not to overstock them, especially frost free machines. The reason is that this restricts the airflow and food may not store at the correct temperature if the machine is jam packed full. Also, try not to put a whole heap of food that isn’t already chilled or frozen in all at once as this can put undue strain on the machines as they run for ages trying to get it all cold or frozen. To avoid this many people keep their cans or bottles of beer outside as it’s cold enough to get it reasonably well chilled without going near the fridge, not that we’d know this of course.

Of course these and many other tips as well as a whole heap of support and help is available from our Advice & Help Section and also in the Appliance Help & Support Forums

Please have fun, be safe and enjoy the holiday season with our best wishes.
