Whirlpool report that a recent survey revealed that the sound of wine glugging as it flows into a glass was the nation’s favourite sound . To ensure that your wine is at the optimum condition and temperature when poured, Whirlpool is launching a built in wine cellar and under counter wine chiller to compliment any kitchen style.
Drinking wine has increased considerably in the UK over the past decade, and Britain is set to become Europe’s biggest market for still and sparkling wine within the next three years . Whirlpool’s sleek wine chillers and cellars mean that Chablis, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot collections can be shown off in a professional and elegant way.
Wine Cellar

The built in wine cellar with stainless steel handle has capacity for 44 bottles and is digitally able to recreate the optimum climate conditions of a traditional wine cellar (from 6°C to 20°C), allowing your vintage wine collection to age perfectly on five oak shelves. The wine rack’s special features also include a low vibration system allowing for better wine conservation, A-rated energy performance, and a black inner liner and anti UV glass door to ensure wine is protected properly.
Wine Chiller

The built in under counter wine chiller and bottle cooler is perfect for those wishing to maximise space. The wine chiller, also known as a wine fridge, is A energy rated and its black inner liner and anti UV glass shields wine from harmful rays and absorbs unnecessary light. With space for 33 bottles of wine on three oak shelves the wine chiller is a flexible solution for wine storage even for smaller kitchens
Of course we’ve not tested either appliance so we can’t comment on how well they are built or work but, if Whirlpool would like to send us some, preferably with some wine to fill it, we promise to test it thoroughly and report back when sobriety returns.
