Pixmania Future In Doubt

Reuters reports that Dixons said on Thursday it would like to sell its loss-making Pixmania online business and if that proved to be not possible closure of the operation was to be considered.

Dixons Flogs Off Webhallen

Dixons Retail has agreed to sell Webhallen, a subsidiary of Pixmania, to Komplett, a Norwegian based e-commerce company approximately SKr140m (£14 million) in cash.

Dixons Closes Pixmania Stores

Reuters reports this morning that Dixons Retail is to close all of its Pixmania stores and to scale back its online presence as part of a turnaround plan for the ailing Pixmania brand.

Dixons Retail the owner of PC World and Currys is expected to close as many as 100 locations. Dixons has already closed 50 stores in the past year but it is believed that the company plans to close even more stores in an effort to cut costs.
