Finally some might say, washing machine production start in the UK once again by Ebac after a period of about ten years of no washing machine production in Britain. But Ebac has eyes on producing other appliances as well.

Ebac chairman John Elliot says the company is now just days away from seeing washing machines roll off it’s Newton Aycliffe production line after what seems to us like a heap of delays.

Speaking at a Advanced Manufacturers Forum meeting Amanda Hird, Operations Director of Ebac, said that there were delays to the production of new washing machines from Ebac.

The Northern Echo reports that Ebac is readying itself to launch an assault on the white goods market, which could see it build on a £7m washing machine venture with fridge-freezers and tumble dryers.

It has emerged that Ebac, the cooler and dehumidifier manufacturer, is planning to move to £7m facilities to make its own fridges, if planners give the go-ahead for a new Tesco supermarket on its current factory site. Ebac is applying to Wear Valley District Council for planning permission …
