USA – A Kelvinator, the nation’s second-oldest continuously used major appliance brand and the first to appear on electric refrigerators, is being retired by Electrolux Appliances.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 5, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) — Electrolux (Nasdaq:ELUX) has signed an agreement to sell its shares in the Danish company Vestfrost A/S to the Esbjerg Group in Denmark. The Esbjerg Group will thereby increase its shareholding in Vestfrost from 50% to 100%.

The board of the Electrolux group, a multinational producer of electrical appliances, decided last Wednesday to build a new refrigerator factory in eastern Hungary, investing €65 million.
