Haier Bid For Fisher & Paykel Hits Troubles

It has come to light over the past couple of weeks that the bid made by Haier to buy the rest of Fisher & Paykel may well have hit a bump in the road that could well prevent the Chinese company from gaining control of the New Zealand appliance manufacturer. 

Fisher & Paykel Face Another Recall

Current.com reports that after the recent recall on some of its DishDrawer dishwashers due to risk of electric shock last month that Fisher & Paykel is facing another recall and has issued a product recall for selected single door dishwasher models.

Fisher And Paykel Profits Dive

Fisher And Paykel have reported a substantial drop in profits for the year to 31st March 2012 which equates to a drop of around 45% although there are one-off costs that make up part of the drop.

Fisher & Paykel Profits Nose Dive

Fisher & Paykel Appliances slashed net profit to $980,000 in the six months to September 30 after provisioning for a battle over software copyright, an onerous Australian lease and unfavourable exchange rate movements.
