We’re confused over LG’s strategy with this technology stuff on their latest fridge freezers and we will try to explain why that was so.

You can tell IFA is around the corner, the press releases ramp up with all the new “innovations” that are to be on offer at the German trade fair and as is boringly predictable and usual LG and Samsung will try to outdo one another.

LG has told media outlets in Korea that it would spend 30-50% more on-year for research and development into key components of washing machines and air conditioners to maintain its competitiveness in the home appliance market.

We all know that old adage, if it looks too good to be true then it probably is, we suspect that applies to LG’s latest 20 year warranty stunt.

LG have announced a recall of some of their popular washing machine models over the risk of an electric shock from some of the models affected.

LG has taken the wraps off its new Signature series of appliances and, we we largely expected, there wasn’t much that isn’t available elsewhere and seems more of a PR stunt than much else.

LG has recently made moved forward in its vacuum cleaner business by successfully developing a next-generation motor for the cleaning device, which the firm said was more powerful and energy efficient than those of Dyson, the world’s top vacuum cleaner-maker.

While we can’t help but feel this is likely to be a rehash of current products with a new fancy set of clothes on, LG seem to be dead set on moving the brand upmarket with the new “Signature” range of products.

LG is showcasing its newest kitchen lineup that is set to include built in appliances at IFA 2015 and, although we’ve not got all the details yet, we managed to get some information.
