The patent wars between Whirlpool and LG continue with the latest news being that Whirlpool wins a “stay” motion on LG Bloomberg reports.

Bloomberg reports that Whirlpool asked a jury to award it $16.2 million in damages from South Korea’s LG Electronics for infringing a patent for refrigerator icemakers.

Former executives from Japanese company Panasonic and Brazilian subsidiaries of Whirlpool and Tecumseh were indicted Tuesday on charges of price-fixing, the US Justice Department have said.

It appears that the spat between Whirlpool and LG isn’t quite over just yet and that the two are continuing their ongoing battles, the PR from Whirlpool follows after the break.
