Domestic appliance repair and replacement company Pacifica is set to expand after a round of recent investment.
Pacifica, the holding company for six businesses including 0800 Repair and JTM Service, provides a repair and replacement service for domestic appliances. It received £500,000 from FW Capital, manager of the North East Growth Plus Fund, as part of a £2m funding round to set up a new site in Washington.
Pacifica also secured a further £1.16m in a commercial mortgage and loan from HSBC.
The site will spearhead Chester-le-Street-based Pacifica’s growth in the region, which will create the 45 jobs.
Kevin Brown, director of Pacifica, said: “This investment marks a major milestone for us as we embark on the next phase of the company’s expansion. It has put us in a great position to achieve our aim of becoming Europe’s premier support services provider to the domestic appliance industry.”
Founded in 2003, the group is made up of six companies, with its 0800 Repair brand installing, servicing and repairing central heating systems and gas appliances.
