This was, we suppose, inevitable and we’ve talked about it for years on here. Some bright spark has come up with a humanoid robot that can load a washing machine.
Released on X (or Twitter, Figure AI’s CEO posted this video:
{source}<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>Here's a F.02 in my home, using Helix to do my laundry <a href=”https://t.co/MXFf1o81EG”>pic.twitter.com/MXFf1o81EG</a></p>— Brett Adcock (@adcock_brett) <a href=”https://twitter.com/adcock_brett/status/1950685253447913798?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>July 30, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>{/source}
As you can see, the robot does indeed load laundry, but that’s about it. It’s clever for sure and shows the direction of travel for robotics; however, we’d be guessing that most people won’t be able to afford one (even if it does do the job correctly).
