The Servis brand returns and relaunches in the UK under the brand’s new owners, Vestel of Turkey with four new washing machine models although we expect new products to be introduced in due course.

The new website, that we only noticed had appeared online this week, makes a big play on the heritage of the Servis brand touting that the name is 100 years old.
Only, it isn’t actually a British company anymore and hasn’t been for many years as it was previously owned by an Italian Company, Antonio Merloni, that entered administration a few years ago leaving owners frustrated and without any warranty cover.
And, although the website may hark back to the original Servis company the current crop of machines have virtually nothing in common with the older models.
The four washing machines currently listed on the website appear to be variants of the usual Vestel fare that can be found in Argos, Tesco and other retailers under different brand names.
However, the Servis name is back and will no doubt be targeting the cheaper, lower end of the market as the Servis brand has traditionally done competing with others in the segment such as Beko, Indesit, Samsung and so on.
The washing machines come with a two year warranty and are available from Argos from £249.99 to £319.99.
Current arrangements for service and spares are unknown although we would expect that any repairs would be carried out by the 0800 Repair service network.
