Sharp has launched its first fridge freezers ““ the A+ energy rated SJF79PSSL, SJPT690RS and SJPT690RS.
Although Sharp is better known for its televisions and microwaves in the UK it has launched a four-door fridge freezer and a pair of two-door models. Sharp has produced refrigeration and laundry products in it’s home Japanese market for some time.
The four-door SJF79PSSL fridge freezer has a large 605 litre capacity and is big enough to hold a whole smoked salmon on one shelf.
Internal fridge storage includes two salad crispers, a separate fruit compartment, wine holder and delicatessen drawer. It has seven independent door shelves including a covered dairy compartment and two extra-deep bottle shelves.
The four-star freezer compartment sits at the bottom of the unit, includes a deep storage drawer for larger items and has twin ice makers capable of creating ice within 20 minutes.
The SJF79PSSL is available now priced around £1300… OUCH!
Sharp’s two door fridge-freezers come with LED lighting in both the fridge and freezer compartments and a range of internal storage solutions.
The four star freezer compartments include two pizza pockets in the door, while the fridge sections offer a mini-tray shelf that can be used as a wine rack or as an additional storage tray for small items
The SJPT640RS has a 514 litre net fridge capacity and is on sale now priced around £700, while the SJPT690RS offers a larger 555 litre capacity, priced around £750. Both feature top mounted freezer compartments.
Like the recent introductions from Panasonic, not cheap and probably not too widely available either. Service and spares is an entirely unknown quantity at present, we don’t even know who’s doing all that support stuff.
