No, not fridges in cars, actual cars into fridges from the front end of a Fiat 500 in a deal that Smeg appear to have done with Fiat that will see these completely barmy fridges actually made.
From what we can gather (information is patchy on these) there will be a limited run of these fridges that involve taking th front of a Fiat 500c, removing all the gubbins and installing a refrigeration unit into them for domestic use. It does seem, well, rather excessive.
You can even have a choice of colour, white, red or green which, funnily enough, are the colours of the Italian flag.

There is no word yet on whether we will see these being sold in the UK and, even if they are, how many will come here although we would expect a limited run because there aren’t too many homes that could accommodate having about a third of a car in their kitchen. But for rich people that have a separate lounge or games room it could be kinda cool, no pun intended.
Now the really scary part, the price. No prices have yet come to light and it seems that nobody wants to talk about the price, which sort of tells us all we need to know and that the price can probably be summed up in one word, frightening.
+++UPDATE+++
Apparently known as the the SMEG 500 now, the refrigerator comes with a 100-liter capacity, has an operating noise of 42 dB and features that all-important A+ energy rating. It comes with two sliding doors, three bottle holders that can be removed, as well as shelf for cans.
Price is reported to be €5,500!!
