Smeg have launched a vacuum drawer that does a lot and seems almost a pro-grade product given what it does but, it’s not cheap at almost £3000!

We can’t see, given the price, that this one will be a mainstream product, it’s very “niche”.
For chefs at home it might be worth it but most people wouldn’t need this sort of appliance.
