It has come to the attention of UKW site admin by concerns made by a number of members that there seems to be some sort of dispute between NESN and their major source of work Connect/Electrue and the Dixons Stores Group contract that they administer.
Currently the situation is unclear as, despite our requests no official comment has been made on the sordid affair other than “Due to confidentiality agreements NESN have no comment” on behalf of NESN. However what is clear is that something is definately going on between the camps.
As far as we can gather the situation thus far is that NESN agents voted at a meeting held on Thursday to unanimously boycott any work passed directly on the Electrue call handling system. What action, if any, Electrue will take remains a mystery, but it’s a fair bet that there will be some form of response to this.
This will directly affect many of the readers of this site and neither party seems to want to offer any guidance or clarify the situation for the people that actually rely on this business for their livliehood. We are very disappointed that no comments of any substance have been offered.
Both parties involved do have access to the trade forums and we would suggest airing any concerns that you may have there. If you feel that you do not want the possibility of the comments being tracked back please contact myself or Dave Conway and we will post the comments on your behalf in confidence.
