Those of you that have been keeping you eyes open will be aware that the next meeting is to take place on 20th February 2009 at the Hilton Hotel in Coventry (www.hilton.co.uk/coventry).
Unlike previous meetings we have tried to bring all the manufacturers to the table, with a view to allowing the manufacturers, spare part suppliers and engineers all to get together and chat.
Some of the manufacturers have agreed to do company presentations and the spares suppliers will be there in force. Capita and Lokring have also been approached to do presentations on the new gas registration procedure and the Lokring system.
The following companies are expected to send their representatives:
Gias
Bosch
Liebherr
Independent Service
Samsung
GDHA
LG
EMW
Rangemaster
Gorenje
NESN
Masterpart
Vulkan
Fisher-Paykel
Domestic & General
Elica
JTM
Amica
SEME-Nedis
Are all expected to have representation at the meeting as well as a few others.
At this time of financial strife and reductions in manufacturers this is an ideal time to network with some of these companies and try and secure extra work to fill the gaps.
This promises to be a most interesting meeting with insight from all areas of the industry to cope in the current financial climate.
There is, as ever, an open invitation to all who wish to attend to do so. Please advise your intent to attend either in the forums, there are two threads to use, one in the UK Whitegoods forum and one in the General Trade forum. Or, alternatively, email to admin@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with the details.
