Whirlpool Romania reported for 2005 a net profit of 2.4 million euros, half of the total reported for 2004, when the company registered a gross profit of 4.8 million euros, according to the data issued by the Ministry of Public Finance.
Whirlpool Romania’s turnover maintained last year at a level comparable with the one reported in 2004, 51.8 million euros, registering a slight increase of 700,000 euros.
The Romanian retail market for the electronics and home appliances sectors was estimated at 238.4 million euros and retailers say that sales on this market will continue to decrease.
