ServiceBench, Inc., the leading provider of Web-based service supply chain management applications, today announced that Whirlpool North America has processed nine million transactions through the Web-automated service supply chain system delivered by ServiceBench. The system, launched in late 2001, handles 100% of the warranty claims processes, payments and dispatch services for Whirlpool North America.

Through the ServiceBench system, Whirlpool service providers are able to easily, and more accurately, file warranty claims and receive payments in a week or less. In addition, servicers receive dispatch notices immediately based on such key indicators as availability and location, and are better able to manage schedules.

“ServiceBench is one of Whirlpool’s most important technology partners. We are extremely pleased to have reached this key milestone together,” said Steve Zannos, Director, In-Home Service. “We trust ServiceBench to handle these important service transactions for us and look forward to growing our business with them in other key areas in the future.”

“At ServiceBench, we take enormous pride in the relationships we build with our customers – backed by integrity, unsurpassed service and a measurable return on investment – making this milestone with Whirlpool a key achievement for both of our companies,” stated Michael Dering, President and CEO, ServiceBench. “Whirlpool’s success with its service supply chain reaffirms ServiceBench’s track record of helping our customers fuel growth through efficiency.”

ServiceBench, chosen from a field of industry leaders based on the company’s level of service experience, proven web technology and ease of use – remains Whirlpool Corporation’s sole provider of an automated service-facing system.
