Whirlpool who acquired Indesit last year including Hotpoint, Cannon, Creda etc, is planning huge investments in Poland ,Rzeczpospolita Daily reports.
By 2018, the American company is going to earmark around €235 million to develop its production plants in Wrocław, Łódź and Radomsko.
“This means transfers of production capacity of best selling products generating high gross margins such as dish washers, washing machines and cookers,” Nicola De Guida, country general manager at Whirlpool EMEA told Rzeczpospolita.
At the same time, the company asserted is is not going to shut down any production plants in Poland.
Poland is Europe’s largest household appliance producer. Last year, the domestic production output exceeded 20 million units, an increase of 13% on a yearly basis.
