Haier Group Co., China’s largest home appliance maker, opened a factory in Jordan on March 2 to provide more tailor-made products to the Middle Eastern market, the Xinhua news agency reported.
At the opening ceremony, Haier Group CEO Zhang Ruimin expressed confidence that Jordan will become Haier’s regional center in production and sales, Xinhua said.
Jordanian Industry and Trade Minister Ahmed Thuqan al-Hindawi said Jordan welcomes more Chinese enterprises to invest in his country, the report said.<br.
