Haier is said to be selling its refrigerator plant in Romania as part of a plan to streamline its production activities in Europe.

You might remember the Haier produced tumble dryer fire risk recall a few months back and how it all went a bit wrong with users being told to stop using them after they were modified, well, now it seems Haier is set to re-repair them.

Haier Europe is set to show off its “Naturally Connected” vision at IFA Berlin across a 3,000 square meter exhibition space.

Ouch, those Haier-produced tumble dryers that were recalled recently for a fire risk… well, turns out that the modification doesn’t resolve the problem and they are still a danger, so much so the Office for Product Safety and Standards has issued a “Stop” warning, telling owners not to use…

Haier is recalling around 137,000 fridge freezer models in the USA because of a potential fire hazard. An electrical component inside the refrigerator has been found to short-circuit, which could lead to a fire.

Some might say oh no but we’re afraid it’s a big yes, Chinese company Haier are getting into the cooking space with some new hobs that are apparently getting debuted in the UK.

Not to be left off the smart appliance bandwagon Chinese manufacturer Haier have jumped onboard with some new product launches at IFA as well, along with of course claiming the No1 spot as usual and that this is all new.

Large Chinese appliance manufacturer Haier is said to be investing about ten million dollars into a wine app we presume for use in their appliances and suspect primarily wine cabinets and possibly fridge freezers.

It seems that the days of the old gas refrigerator may be numbered as companies appear to be moving towards thermoelectric technologies with no moving parts and, it’s picking up some steam this week.

Well that’s it all official and whatnot, Haier now owns General Electric’s appliance division, the contracts all signed, ink dry and another brand swallowed up by a bigger fish.
