Toshiba Corp’s consumer appliance unit said Friday it will end its business alliance with Sweden’s AB Electrolux at the end of 2005 and stop selling jointly developed household appliances at the end of March 2006.
Toshiba Consumer Marketing Corp will end the alliance formed in 1999. Since 2001, the company has produced and sold household appliances designed by Electrolux, such as laundry machines, refrigerators and microwaves, under the brand of “Electrolux by Toshiba.”
