Just thought i’d post this incase anyone didn’t know, but as of next week, all Dyson’s will be coming with a free 5yr parts and labour guarantee, this isn’t just a promotion either, it’s a permenant thing.

Does this mean that quality has gone up, or that the independents are getting knocked out of the loop again?

That`ll keep the local Dyson engineer busy , suppose people won`t be too bothered about waiting a few days or perhaps even a week or two 😯 for a vacuum repair.

People will still find something to moan about, they generally always do.
However, the way i look at things, is that people have bought Dyson’s, they’ve lasted a couple of years, so they’ve not bought another, at work we sell less Dyson’s than anything else, so our friend James would appear to be trying to get his share back!

Ive always found the Dyson uprights excellent, providing you religously clean the dust cartridge and wash it and change the filters.

We tend to find it’s a 50/50 split of people that love them and people that hate them.
People either swear by them, or, at them!

Now I wonder where they go tthat idea from… 😉
That aside, I can’t see the multiples being too happy about that as now they won’t be able to sell a warranty with it.

To be honest, i think Dyson must be doing something to compensate, all the multiples (apparently), will be widely advertising the free 5yr guarantee.

They will probably sell a new policy for accidental damage for the 5yr term, on the lines of “What if…………?”
Only way they will make any profit on the sale 😉Greg

Course they do – sell the idea as British, then make the things in the far east.
