Built in ovens or electric wall ovens as they are known in the US that were made by Electrolux and sold through Sears retailers Stateside are being recalled due to a risk of posing a fire hazard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the thermal switch on the ovens can malfunction due to improper manufacturing.
While Frigidaire ovens were only listed as being sold by Knie Appliance & TV, Inc., in Illinois from March 2016 through April 2016, Kenmore ovens were sold solely through Sears stores across the USA and online at http://www.sears.com from March 2016 through April 2016.
People who purchased a Frigidaire oven should contact Electrolux for free on 888-360-8556 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Saturday or via email at web.productrecall@frigidaire.com.
People that purchased a Kenmore oven should call Sears at 800-659-7026 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT on Saturday or online at www.sears.com and click on “Product Recall” for more information.
This recall involves the own label brands of Frigidaire and Kenmore branded electric single and double wall ovens made by Electrolux. They were sold in black, white or stainless steel.
The single ovens measure about 24 inches wide, 32 inches tall and 25 inches deep. The double ovens measure about 24 inches wide, 51 inches tall and 25 inches deep. “Kenmore” or “Frigidaire” is printed below the oven window.
The model and serial numbers are located on the left side trim on the inside of the oven. The following model and serial numbers are included in this recall:

Owners of these ovens should immediately stop using the recalled ovens and contact Electrolux or Sears to schedule a free inspection and free repair.
