(Greenville, December 10, 2003, 7:56 a.m.) Executives from refrigerator giant Electrolux will be in Greenville this week to see what a task force has done to keep the plant and 2,700 jobs from moving to Mexico.
The move could save $81 million per year.
Many plant workers believe the move is already a foregone conclusion; however, city officials in Greenville believe their plan could sway Electrolux officials.
The plan includes massive tax breaks and the consideration of a new plant.
