Smart, sophisticated and beautiful. Efficient yet gentle. These words describe the performance and design of the Bosch Nexxt(TM) Washer and Dryer, as well as supermodel/actress/author Vendela. Vendela, who joins Bosch at the 2004 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, serves as the mistress of ceremonies of the Nexxt Laundry Fashion Show, a unique performance that will unveil the advanced laundry system. Bosch will also showcase its new Free-Standing Convection Range and introduce the latest addition to its award-winning dishwasher line. Full-line product offerings including built-in wall ovens, cooktops, ventilation and small appliances will complete the Bosch Spa, a serene and meditative setting that illustrates the inspirational nature of Bosch products.
To showcase the superior yet gentle washing performance of Bosch’s next generation laundry system, models from the hit reality show “America’s Next Top Model” — including season one winner Adrianne and finalists Elyse and Robynne — will hit the catwalk at the Bosch booth on Friday 4/2 and Saturday 4/3 wearing designer fashions that can be cared for in the Nexxt Washer and Dryer. Following each performance, Vendela and the “Top Models” will greet guests and be available for autographs.
“At Bosch, we are committed to manufacturing appliances that are inspired by the needs and lifestyles of today’s consumer,” said Franz Bosshard, president and CEO. “A prime example is the Nexxt Washer/Dryer, combining the inventive features with the convenience and quietness one expects from Bosch. It truly represents the next generation in home laundry care and we are excited to demonstrate this fact through our unique fashion show at K/BIS.”
Nexxt Laundry
German engineered and made in the state-of-the-art Bosch factory in New Bern, N.C., the front-loading Bosch Nexxt(TM) Laundry line debuted in early 2004. Featuring unique advancements in temperature selection, water movement and fabric protection, the Nexxt Washer and Dryer actually pampers clothes while offering unrivalled cleaning results. It is so gentle on a variety of fabrics such as silk, cashmere and lace that it is likened to a “spa for your clothes.” In addition, these are the quietest units on the market at 60-67 decibels, giving consumers the ultimate flexibility in placing the laundry room right next to a bedroom or nursery.
Overall, the Nexxt Laundry system uses less water and energy. With as little as 4.78 gallons of water for a full load — three times less than conventional top-loaders — consumers can expect savings of 70 gallons of water a week for a family of four and an average of $150 in energy consumption a year. These impressive results have led to an ENERGY STAR® qualification and the highest rating from the Consortium of Energy Efficiency (CEE).
Free-Standing Convection Range
Bosch’s 30″ Free-Standing Convection Ranges combine an unmatched assortment of cooking and convenience features with European styling. Designed and built in North Carolina, the ranges are available in gas, electric or dual-fuel models and are perfect for those consumers who may have space or budget limitations in their kitchen, but still desire a clean look and the advanced functionality of a built-in appliance.
Each feature on the new ranges is intended to ensure greater cooking results made simple. The Bosch exclusive Touch &Turn(TM) Oven Control is an easy-to-use system that combines a touch control and a single dial to put up to nine different cooking modes at your fingertips. With the widest oven cavity available, the Free-Standing Range allows for full-meal cooking. The Bosch exclusive Genuine European Convection(TM), an advanced system featuring a third heating element in the oven, allows for foods that cook more evenly, at lower temperatures and with better and faster results without cross-over of flavors. In addition, the extra-wide warming drawer has three temperature settings for re-heating or keeping food warm. In fact, it is even safe for multiple take-out containers and pizza boxes.
Integra Dishwasher
Known worldwide for setting the industry standards in quality, quietness and energy/water efficiency, Bosch raises the bar yet again with its new 10- cycle Integra Design dishwasher. Leading the new convenience features is the easy-to-use and clean CLEARTOUCH(TM) control, the industry’s first sensor touch control panel. Simply press the ONETOUCH(TM) button and the Bosch machine automatically adapts the cycle to the soil level of your dishes to ensure a brilliant wash while conserving water.
The new Integra dishwasher features Bosch’s exclusive Apexx(TM) technology, the intelligent soil sensor system that adjusts cycle times and water temperature and consumption currently featured in the overall product line. In addition, Bosch adds the unique PARTYWASH(TM) program perfect for quickly cleaning up to six place settings in only 30 minutes when entertaining guests or after dinner with the family — without sacrificing the performance of a regular program. The new OPTIDRY(TM) system also adjusts cycle time and water temperature to ensure excellent drying results every time.
At only 44 decibels, the new 10-cycle Integra continues the Bosch hallmark as the quietest dishwasher manufactured in the U.S. Since many consumers have stated that they have to touch the unit to even know it is running, Bosch adds the new INFOLIGHT(TM) system which beams a red light from the dishwasher to the floor to let you know that it is on.
