Keymasterif you have read the General forum…..
Anyone fancying supporting alex and me in not doing the D&G work for Brandt. Its easy…if your asked to cover our areas just say NO.
I think its time for a showdown….and at the end of the day we like D&G our truck is with Brandt which you will undermine if you say yes to our area….think about it.
You might even consider joining the crusade.

I dont know how far down you come now Kevin but if you are still bordering me I will not take the work. I would hope that all in TWR would do likewise.

KeymasterYep, bollocks to ’em.
They’ve fucked us over once, time for payback! 😈
In all honesty though, anyone taking it on is off they’re friggin’ heads, it’s a loser… big time.

Right.
If I get enough genuine names I will take on the brief on this. But I will need as much support as possible, the more the merrier & you must be able to “put your money where your mouth is”, meaning to allow your names to be brought forward, and no backing down. There isn’t enough work from Brandt to make any difference anyway. Just think about it!
I am happy to tell D&G what the consensus is out here and be in a position to be able to pass on names.
Your call guys, but we need to extend this to outside the W.R.

KeymasterRe: brandt
You have my support Alex with this, no problem there at all.
As a course of action I would point out the thread to DAG for a start ad let them digest that for a little while, perhaps a day or so. Then on Friday morning be organised enough to be looking at pulling the rug from under Brandt’s feet on January 1st.
I will explain my thinking…
If we give DAG a few days it allows us some time to ferret about seeking and making contact with DAG agents that are as pissed off as we are, we win.
We look like the good guys as we’re giving them time to resolve the issues or get a commitment to resolve them, we win.
If they fail and fuck it up we gave them loads more time than they gave us as a notice period, so we look like the good guys and not spiteful, we win.
All in all if we play this right I think we’ll win the battle.

This is looking like a concerted solution, not a war council, which is exactly how it should be.
Can I safely assume you can set the ball rolling with D&G? and I for the time being will liaise through you, then when the time is right, & Friday is a good day, we can then pounce.
Poor old D&G are stuck with this lot, but Therese has told me more than once that she seriously regrets taking the Brandt contract.

Yeah, working together will accomplish far more in the long run and hopefully bring about a lasting peace.
I’ll mail DAG in the morning and point out the thread, they should be over it like a rash before midday.
Friday is always a good day to break that kinda news, as my old lawyer friend used to say, “fuck them on a Friday as they can’t do fuck all about it till Monday!” 😉
I feel sorry for Doom & Gloom in this as they’re between a rock and a hard place really but this will maybe give them the bargaining power that they need to sort it. At least, that’s my hope.

I fully concur with what JohnMac says & give our full support to the point if neccesary of withdrawing from D&G until they sort it out.

KeymasterDave will back this too, I know him well enough to know he will and I suspect that Dave Jones will too.
If it comes to it I’ll make some calls in tomorrow too and see what else can be drummed up in support.
In the end, Alex is right, the Brandt work isn’t really worth th effort, but just think of the shits it’s going to give others. 😉

I need to speak to them anyway as I have seen a significant drop off in work recently, not just Brandt.
Also, if it’s any interest, Richard Dalley has shown a lot of interest in the Brandt thread over the last few days 😉
Dave Jones had a phone call last week from D&G asking if he would take on Admiral and Maytag work, which he declined, I had no such call from them, anyone else had this call ?
I’ll see if I can find out more.
Dave.

KeymasterNope not had that call but it comes as no surprise to me, Maytag must be getting desperate right about now I should think.
However it’s another high value product, low volume, pain in the ass to administer, pain in the ass to meet the customer expectations contract that frankly, unless they bribe me with lots of cash and stock up front, they can fook off.
Not worth the hassle frankly.

KeymasterRe: brandt
I have email D&G to withdraw from the brandt work from the 13th December, told them a list of problems and it needs sorting before I resume any brandt work.
