Turkey’s household appliances manufacturer, Beko, was presented 16 Plus X awards in five categories in Cologne, Germany.
A statement by Arcelik AS said that Arcelik’s Beko received awards in the categories of ecology, design and ease of use/functionality.
Arcelik AS’s Blomberg won 8 Plus X awards in the categories of ecology, functionality and design and the company’s Grundig also received 2 awards in the category of ease of use.
Arcelik AS was upgraded to ‘BB’ at Fitch Ratings on June 11.
Arcelik’s net income more than doubled to 109.6 million liras ($69 million) in the first quarter, the company said on April 27. Arcelik is owned by Koc Holding AS, Turkey’s biggest group of companies.
