This problem is not being caused by your washing mahcine and is not a fault with your washing machine, no service or repair will be able to resolve the issue.

The garment has metal zips/buttons.
Prevention
Keep wash time short with suspect garments and ensure these garments are removed from the washing machine immediately after the wash finishes and dried in accordance with the fabric care label.
Cause
The water supply has a high copper content, or new copper piping has recently been installed.
Prevention
Try and flush out standing water in pipes prior to running the washing machine.
