Electrolux AB’s AEG Hausgeraete GmbH business unit has entered in negotiations again with the union representing workers at its plant in Nuremburg, Germany, Forbes reports.

Negotiations had halted and Electrolux was planning to let its board decide the fate of the plant at a meeting on Oct. 24. Now, the board’s decision-making is postponed while the company and the union discuss new ways of cutting costs in the facility.

The plant has about 1,750 workers, and members of the trade union IG Metall had offered to make concessions as Electrolux, one of the world’s biggest appliance companies, contends with global appliance price pressures.

Electrolux had said that the concessions were insufficient to offset cost concerns.
