Hundreds of new jobs are headed to Middle Tennessee.
700 of them to be exact. Friday morning, Electrolux Home Products announced that it is adding the new jobs to its existing plant in Robertson County.
The company makes gas and electric ranges there. Governor Bredesen and other local and state dignitaries were on hand to help celebrate the good news. “Our Tennessee workforce is the best that there is and we appreciate our workers. We appreciate their tough-as-nails work ethic…give yourself a round of applause”, Governor Bredesen said.
The expansion would bring the total number of jobs to 3,700 jobs. The company started hiring people from all over the midstate in May.
Most of the new employees will start next Monday. The Electrolux plant makes gas and electric kitchen stoves.
