Independent electrical retailers are today being urged to sign up to the energy saving recommended scheme and take advantage of the new free toolkit from the Energy Saving Trust, as latest figures reveal increasing consumer demand for ‘greener’ products.
The market share for energy efficient* white goods has risen to over 70 per cent this year compared to just 16 per cent in 2000.
Now, the Energy Saving Trust has launched a new toolkit to help independent electrical retailers promote to their customers products which will save energy, cost less to run and help the environment.
With over 2000 registered companies, independent electrical retailers make up 25 per cent of the total white goods sector and are in a unique position to advise customers on which products to choose. The toolkit provides retailers with a range of information and helpful resources including:
Educational materials to help employees understand the benefits of saving energy and energy saving products
In-store promotional materials including window and product stickers
Leaflets for customers explaining the benefits of energy efficiency and energy saving productsEducational materials to help employees understand the benefits of saving energy and energy saving products.
