THE ex-lover of a road rage killer is claiming a £150,000 payout for being blown out of a window by an exploding fridge.
Mary Fitzpatrick, 42, fell 25feet from the second-floor window after a fire in her kitchen.
She claims her ordeal began when she saw smoke and flames belching from the fridge. Fitzpatrick says she tried to put out the fire with damp cloths, but the flames forced her onto the window ledge.
The fridge then allegedly exploded, blowing Fitzpatrick on to a path below the flat.
Fitzpatrick says she can no longer walk properly because of leg injuries suffered in the fall.
She has lodged a damages claim at the Court of Session against Electrolux, the company she says made the fridge.
