Ok, been looking and found a few extra letters after wt741, whats mine?? How do i find the next 2 characters??

It is a 1400 spin, a+, showing family on the drawer. In silver/granite. And how do u find what specify model it is? No sticker on sides or back, only showing wt741 on front.

Read my colleagues post again, the answer you seek lies in his every word. You will be going round in circles otherwise. : wink:

iadom wrote:Take the pump off complete as described above. Once you have removed the hoses you should be able to get the obstructions out from the side of the pump.

Just scrape off what you can, don’t try to wash it out.

Thanks, its good to check before i ruin it. The outlet looks so slushy and slimey. No wonder the old person didnt get it sorted or i bet it was the guy who came to fix it lied just to get a sale by selling new machine! It was the pump need fixing.

All clean and in perfect condition now, just waiting for the filter cap then its all ready to go. Cheers for ur help, just thought the blasted guy broke it just to make it harder to gain access on purpose!

Is there anything else i need to check before running the machine? Belt looks new.

It broke because someone forced it trying to get it out when it was jammed with coins.

Nothing really to check, if the drum sounds quiet and smooth when you spin it then give it a whirl. If and when the motor brushes wear down you will know about it. That’s assuming it has a brush gear motor, some of these also use a 3 phase motor instead.

I spun the drum and its so silent. Only hear the normal sound from the motor that makes drum spin. Which is superb… Thanks all for ur help,

I suppose my thread can help others. When searching for advice, i keep finding those that u have to pay to get answers!!!

A suitable megger or multimeter is needed to test all components, especially the heater for insulation, resistance and continuity.

I wont appoint a repair guy. I like to learn and understand how to read voltage. Its good to help with info. I like to get jobs done myself.

Basically, why is it still washing all the way to 1 minute on display and still washing? All i need is someone who can advice on pressing buttons or what i need to just read codes like i would with a car and code reader.

A quick read of the forum rules might be in order.
We will try and help within those limitations. The forum is not and was never intended to be an electrical education resource. 😉
