when you say the drum is stuck do you mean mechanically ie you cant turn it by hand

or it cant turn it electrically

Both! It no longer turns when put on any programme, and when I try to rotate it manually it won’t budge at all.

well next is to take the belt off as you need to know if its the motor or the drum

if its the drum then its 2 options bearing failure or something jammed. Have you lost any article of clothing ?

if its motor then it will be costly unless you can find a good second hand one

How do I take the belt off? It is on very tightly, can I just force it off by stretching it or is there some other way of removing it?

normally there are ridges on the motor but not on the pulley. if that is the case you can slide the belt off the pulley

if not on your machine the motor is adjustable. find a 13mm ring spanner, loosen both nuts and the motor will lift to remove belt

I managed to slide the belt off the pulley, and now the drum rotates freely by hand.

The spindle of the motor won’t revolve by hand.

well that a new motor needed then

new they were a silly price but there may be a used one on ebay. if you do go down this route ask if its quiet when the armature is turned and also ask if there is any clicking from the brushes as its revolved. and always use paypal that way if the seller send you rubbish then you can reclaim money
