Participant🙁 Just got hold of a seconhand A1435 for my son and girlfriend, If I select program 3 it seams to stay on it and not move I know Aristons are suposed to go on and on but 😯 all other programs seam ok. any ideas or should they just put up with it till they can get somthing desent?
I must say the best machine I have ever had is the basic Beko it lasted years with no problems at all and the Beko dish washe is doing the same. both cost under £200 each from new.

Ok people I finaly got a copy of the user manual emailed to me. ( You have to go to the hotpoint site and ask them) Program 1,2 and 3 take a really long time, 150 minutes for program 3 as its the super duper A rated wash, this for someone that is used to a basic wash rince and spin machine made me think ther was a problem but aparantly not. So it seams I got a bargin (good old Ebay)£45 for a machine that was leaking from the draw turned out to be a scaled up water jet, quick rub with some white vinager and hay presto, no more leak. Thanks for your help guys, now I’ve found you ther are bound to be more questions. 😀

Fire away madrat, anything to oblige 😉
Meanwhile, can I ask a question?

In your original post you didn’t tell us that on Prog 3 it did in fact fully complete the cycle, which would have given us more info to decide if there was a problem or not?
Enjoy your Ebay purchase 🙂

😆 Well as I said some one used to a basic wash rince and spin machine, made me think it had gone cuckoo. God save me from technology 😡 how can a wash cycle that takes 150 mins be effishant 😕

you will notice it takes far less water than older machines
perhaps we should have a fact sheet or printable page to hand out to customers about the modern wash process cold fill only less water etc
i am sick of explaining it to people biggest problem is no one believes me and i usually get the comment of well i have had a washer for 20 years and it was not like this before i want one that takes more water and szo it continues
you can only bang your head against a brick wall for so long till it falls downbtw is the ariston working properly now ?

It takes the same amount as the Beko or the Creda but the Ariston said it dose the equivalant of a 60 degree wash but on 40 degrees but running a machine for 150 minets must cost more than heating the water to 60 in the first place. The Creda had done a normal 40 degree wash with the same amount of water in less than half the time.

Participantyes its working fine but far to complicated
Technology for technologys sake like everything else. Glad our Creda is simple and so was the Beko wish we had never given that away.
