Quite true madrat, but the build is far better than the Indesit`s and the controls do seem to run a lot smoother. Could well be worth you paying a visit to one of the sheds to see what I mean 😉Don

Ok I have been to my local sheds, and discoved that the only cookers that dont feal as if they wilnot self distruct withing 12 months are the Zanussi’s all the others have dodgy doors, knods that eather you cantturn or feel as if they are not conected to anything, glass lids that make you shiver when you use them and pan suports that look asif they will buckle with a milk pan on them.
So your advice please.
Zanussi ZKG5020WFN
or
Zanussi ZKG5030WNI
First one is single oven with seperate grill and also has flame failure on it.
Second one is doudle oven with No flame failureWhat would you sugest. And I forgot to look, do these have the rapid grills or the traditional slow grills????

Sorry, Madrat, a bit too late for you, now 🙁
but for others that follow……. an oven is just a box of hot air…a gas flame needs a constant supply of air to keep it burning.
burning gas produces water…..so –you are continually pumping hot, damp air into the kitchen…soggy salt, condensation, sweltering in summer….err forget that one 😆
Electric ovens usually can be had that will PLUG SAFELY INTO A 13-AMP SOCKET
sealed, energy -efficient box,+ a fast, flexible gas-hob, gives you the best combination!

Well We have had the Zanussi for about a week now and it is fine, at least as good if not better than the old parkinson cowan. I did make a bit of a blunder in the fact it has a traditional grill and not one of the rapid ones like the old cooker but it seams OK. 😀 My only consern is with the pan suports they are not as solid as the old cooker but much better than most on the other cookers looked at as is the build quality. The only thing I need now is a BEKO badge so it matches all the other apliances in the kitchen 😆
