ParticipantMy Beko WDR had the no display symptoms but was beeping so I replaced the main (power) PCB as recommended in other threads on the internet. This restored the LCD display but any attempt to start a program were met with a double beep sound almost as if the childlock was on. Indeed, the machine does the same with the childlock turned on so I’m sure it’s not this.
In diagnostic mode I get E23 on most of the tests and they won’t start but strangely when I come out of diagnostic I am able to start a program and the door locks and machine behaves as usual. If I then drain the machine out and allow the door lock to disengage I have the same symptoms when I go to start another wash and I have to go into diagnostic mode and come out again.
It seems a door lock related problem but I have replaced the door lock and it functions as it should do anyway when the machine agrees to work!
There’s no information on these anywhere so I’ll probably need the advice of a Beko engineer or appliance genius. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the input. I had a feeling it was door lock related. It’s strange that the door will lock after having been in diagnostic mode. I know the lock itself is OK as I’ve replaced it. Is it a case of clearing the fault code from memory after replacing the PCB? Or do you think it is a wiring harness issue?

ModeratorI would check the wiring on the dryer side if that’s ok I would check the wash heater

Checked wiring from dryer element, heater element and door lock all the way back tot he connectors on the board. They’re all OK. Ran machine on dry – that’s working fine. Both elements have continuity and not leaking to earth.
As before, I can run a cycle outside test mode only if I have come out of test mode with the door lock still engaged. If I just try and run the cycle without having been in test mode (and engaging the door lock with a test) then I get the double beep.
Anymore ideas? Could it be a software issue? Anyone got a service manual?

ParticipantHiya; Did you find a resolution to this problem? I replaced a PCB on the same model and now have exactly the same problem. Washer/Dryer will run as normal but only after I have run and cleared a diagnostic test! Serves me right for buying a BEKO!

ParticipantI think it was a software issue. The manufacturer’s service agents came out under customer’s insurance and replaced the PCB (again) but in reality probably just programmed it. Let me know if you get to the bottom of it.

ParticipantHi Dave, i did the same things the lady did in the post. I changed the PCB board as suddenly the machine stopped working completely. After changing it the machine came back alive but i couldn’t wash because the door doesn’t lock. I entered in test mode and appears E23 error, which i suppose is exactly the door lock code error. I checkked the wiring and i changed the lock. Nothing it doesn’t work. The only way to let the machine starting the cycle and wash my laundry is to enter in test mode that manages to lock the door, than turn it of and on again. In this way the door is still locked and I can start washing.
It is strange what it does because the lock works in test mode and the machine works fine with the trick i am using. I think it is just the case to reset the machin/board.
do you have any ideas?Thanks
