ModeratorSuspect the PCB is faulty on this one.
You can set it to a programme, press start and it sets off but the digital display is totally blank. The lights for the various options are illuminated though.
Also when set to Hand wash it actually does a 1600 spin cycle. I don’t know exactly how to access the test mode but I seem to have found something that may be a test sequence.
Set it to 90° wash, held Start button and switched on. When I released and pressed the start button again all of the lights including the display window lit up. I pressed it again assuming it would go into a test cycle, it did start to fill but appeared to be overfilling so I cancelled it. The only other thing I can get in the display window ( not sure how I did it ) was four small bars in the display.
Any pointers or ideas very much welcome. 😀

Gratefully received, thanks to both of you. 8)
Any idea why the display screen is blank?

Went back to this machine today and getting back into the test mode that I stumbled into accidentally yesterday revealed a heater fault.
Heater was O/C but not down to earth.
I am going to order and fit a new heater but I am not sure if an O/C heater would cause all the other strange faults.
The first step of the test sequence confirms that the LED display lights up perfectly on all segments but during the rest of the test sequence it only shows four small bars, even on the faulty heater cycle, step 6, no error code was displayed.
Also several programmes are totally out of sync.
Set to Hand Wash and it does a 1600 spin.
Set to Spin, the 600rpm and main wash light indicators up, drum tumbles very slowly for a short period in one direction only with no pump action then after five minutes it starts filling.
Set to Drain and it starts to fill. :con:
Can an open circuit heater be responsible for all of this?
Jim.

KeymasterHi Jim,
You can start looking on selector potentiometer. You can open it and perhaps to clean it…
On second problem about display digits (can be also related with first problem) I think that there is an missed data inside eeprom. In eeprom data are stored all configuration data regarding your washing machine (like on Electrolux EWM2000 electronic board and configuration code). “Test program” it is done by one subrutine from flash instead of eeprom.May 12, 2010 at 9:33 pm #320027iadom

Hi Adrian, hope you are keeping well. 🙂
So you suspect there are other faults apart from the open circuit heater on this?
Will have a look at the selector switch when I return.
Thanks.
Jim.

Thanks… I stayed at home almost a year… but I started again to work…
iadom wrote:So you suspect there are other faults apart from the open circuit heater on this?
Yes… because heater has nothing to do with program selection or running different those you’ve select…
Notify: when you run test program you should let him till it’s finished (the last phase is filling water to wash level and than he is stopping… erasing last error). Switch OFF from main switch few seconds and again ON. Select drain and that it’s…

Not having much joy with this one, does look like a faulty main PCB, possibly corrupted eeprom?
Checked the contacts in the main selector potentiometer, they looked perfect, nice and clean.
Replaced the open circuit heater and ran through the test sequence.
When it got to step 6 the heater was not getting any power. I let it complete the full test cycle and the only difference from yesterday was that at the end of step 12 ( END) the display showed 419. 😕
The programmes are still out of sequence. Visual inspection of the main PCB shows no signs of any damage or component failure.
Sadly it doesn’t appear as though EMW repair these PCB’s, and if I enter the number on the board on the Masterpart site it comes up ‘part not found’
Is 2902260100 the correct part number?
Jim.

KeymasterI’m sorry because I could not help with anything regarding this brand… they give access only for models made for each market (country)… I do not have such model in database.
perhaps if you do some picture of user interface panel; user interface board (from behind panel) and main PCB perhaps I can identify which model is available in my country or Germany or Russia… and then I can send eprom file for that…May 14, 2010 at 2:57 pm #320031iadom
ModeratorRe: BEKO 765S No display.
No problem Adrian,
It seems even Beko themselves do not have much idea about this machine. They have been contacted by Masterpart to identify and if possible order the PCB and Beko say that 2902260100 is not a recognised part number.
If that is the case why does 2902260100 bring up several hits on Google, a few of them with pictures of the exact part. 😕 Admittedly you might have to use Google translator to read a couple of them but it is definitely a kosher part number. :rolls:
Sadly I don’t have your expertise or any of the equipment required to re write eeproms etc.
Jim.

KeymasterIf you send to anyother guy from here (for example Tony/EMW) I think that it will do for you…
Please write what is writen on main board sticker (all)…May 14, 2010 at 3:50 pm #320033iadom

I don’t think EMW or QER repair these modules yet.

Of to squash now, I will resize this image later Ken, promise. 😀
Jim.
Done. 🙂

Do you know that “solectron” is in my town??? But now his name is “Flextronics”… I will look after the file…

It has only to rewrite 24C01 eprom memory… nothing else…
