ParticipantThe cycle on this DW seems to last a very long time. I am unable to find anywhere how long each cycle should last. The last drying cycle seems to be going on for a much longer time than seems necessary. Can anyone give me an indication of timings please.

Sounds like it is not heating the water then?

Not sure what you mean. Why would that affect the length of the cycle – everything is clean so don’t think that is the problem.

So, does it heat then? After the cycle finishes are the crocks hot?

Yes I am sure they are but will double check next time I turn it on. It takes much longer for a cycle than my last Bosch but yesterday it just seemed to be going on forever. Which is why I wondered if anyone could tell me how long a cycle is supposed to last. Thank you for your replies.

Longest cycle would be around 2 – 2.5hrs.

I use the Eco 50 degree wash so that would be about 2 hrs? Maybe I am just impatient and comparing it to my old dishwasher which was much quicker. I will check it next time and come back if I am still worried. Thank you.

I think it does have a problem. I turned it on this morning with a view to timing how long it took but it starts up but is not filling with water so not even starting the cycle now. What could be causing this?

Check the water inlet stop tap and inlet valve filter to ensure a water supply is getting to the machine and that the filter isn’t clogged, for starters.

Thank you. Will check all that later. I have just found the reset button and that seems to have done the trick in getting it started and filling with water etc.It is now moving through the cycle. I hope it will continue to behave.

Back to problems again – at the end of the cycle goes on and on sounding as if it is trying to drain.
A question – when I took the filter out to clean it the well still had water in it – is this normal? I thought it was usually empty. Thanks for any tips.

Check the domed float switch behind the spay arm isn’t stuck.

It’s a gravity fed pump and not a suction pump so a residual amount of water will always remain in the sump.

Thank you for your reply. Have checked the domed float switch and I can lift it up so presume it is not sticking.

When the pump runs continually will it still run whilst opening the door?
